“The 16 Dollar Burger Movie” is a short documentary exploring DAMEHT and Clayton Patterson’s jacket collaboration and subsequent gallery retrospective of Clayton‘s life’s work. The retrospective included Clayton‘s photography and video work documenting the Lower East Side over the past 30 years, and also included new embroidery works, pieces by Jim Power and Jerry Pagane, as well as Clayton‘s wife Elsa’s oil paintings.
The retrospective was a huge success, resulting in a large amount of publicity, including write ups in Paper Magazine, Purple Magazine, and a front page article in the Metropolitan section of The New York Times, as well as attracting art world luminaries such as Jeffrey Deitch and Joe Coleman. The film has been on a festival run over the past few months, playing at Victoria FIlm Festival, Austin Film Festival, and at Timecode: NOLA in Spring 2015 and is being prepared for an imminent release.[/vc_column][/vc_row]
